Sofia Ghassaei is a poet and playwright from Seattle. Her creative work has been published in Skipping Stones, Spoon Knife, Di lo que quieres decir 2023- Antología de siglemas 575, Neuroclastic, Teen Creative magazine, and presented at the Boards and Chords, Neurolyrical Cafe, and SpellX. Her first short play, Words Unheard, was performed by Theater of Possibility in 2022. Her second musical play, Love Letters, A True-ly Short Epistolary Romance, was performed by Theater of Possibility in 2023 and is now available on YouTube. She was one of five writers selected for the 2022-23 Lynx Amplify Project, which pairs autistic poets with composers to set their words to music. She is a member of the Spellers & Allies Advocacy Network and the Nonspeaking Leadership Council, and loves biking in her spare time. Sofia uses a letterboard to communicate.
